The names on our spines
Several of our authors write under a pen name, as writers have always done. What is on the cover is the name the book is published under.
Linden & Quill
A linden is the tree villages held their councils under, and a quill is the plainest tool anyone ever used to argue with a king. The two together are a fair description of what we publish: books that sit down under the tree and then say something.
We are small on purpose. Every title on this page was edited line by line, given a cover made for it rather than picked off a shelf, and released when it was finished rather than when a season demanded it. Some of our books are the first in a series and some will never have a second.
